A popular AEW star is set to miss Starrcast due to injuries from All In.
At AEW All In London, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage to win the Coffin Match.
Many AEW stars were set to take part in the popular fan convention known as “Starrcast” in Chicago ahead of the AEW All Out pay-per-view, but it seems injuries from the Wembley Stadium will prevent one star from appearing.
On Thursday, August 31, Starrcast announced that Swerve Strickland will be unable to attend this weekend’s convention in Chicago from September 1-3. They wrote the following:
Due to injuries sustained in his Coffin Match at #AEWAllIn, @swerveconfident will no longer be appearing at #Starrcast.
All pre-sale Meet & Greets for Swerve Strickland will be refunded in a timely manner.
It is unknown at the time of this writing when Swerve will return to in-ring action.
Tony Khan mentioned Strickland missing this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, but he did not specify what role he would have played on the program.
One of Swerve’s All In opponents will be in action this Sunday at AEW All Out when Darby Allin challenges Luchasaurus for the TNT Championship.
Also announced for the show, Orange Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against Jon Moxley.
