A notable name has been spotted in Orlando, Florida, amid speculation about their return to WWE TV.
Per PWInsider, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering has been spotted in Orlando, Florida on Monday (September 4).
Orlando is of course the home of WWE’s Performance Center and NXT.
PWInsider had reported a few days ago that AOP were expected to return to the NXT brand.
This comes after reports indicating that Ellering’s Authors of Pain tag-team could currently be signed with WWE.
According to Fightful Select, several sources told them months after their original report about WWE being interested in rehiring Akam and Rezar, that the duo have been under contract to WWE since 2022.
Specifically, Fightful were told that it ‘was before Vince McMahon came back, because that put a halt on all signings besides new recruits’.
AOP were listed on an internal travel list back in May.
This report also noted that the group’s manager Paul Ellering was ‘heavily involved’ in negotiations.
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
