WWE currently has many popular babyfaces on the roster; from LA Knight to Cody Rhodes to Jey Uso.
With so many top WWE stars being so popular, that has been reflected on the company’s merchandise sales, especially regarding Cody Rhodes.
Cody has remained one of the key figures on WWE programming since his return at WrestleMania 38, and that’s reflected in regards to his merchandise sales.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the American Nightmare is the current number one merchandise seller in the company, with his merchandise hitting a rather rare milestone.
Cody was able to outsell generic WWE merchandise at some recent live events, which isn’t something that happens often, as generic merchandise includes basic WWE logo shirts, event merchandise and replica titles.
A lot of Cody’s great sales come from the weight belts, which are a high ticket item, but he has had great success with his merch in general since his 2022 return.
Recently, John Cena’s merchandise has beaten out Cody a few times, but it tends to be Rhodes, Cena or generic WWE merch topping the list.
Cody is set for a match against Mr Money In The Bank Damian Priest at Crown Jewel next weekend.
