A GCW star believes Nick Gage should be credited for the Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland AEW Full Gear blood drinking spot.
At AEW Full Gear 2023, Swerve Strickland defeated Hangman Adam Page in a bloody, gruesome Texas Death Match. One spot, in particular, has gotten a lot of attention when Page drank the blood of Swerve.
The wrestling world has been buzzing with praise and criticism for the violent nature of the encounter. However, one star believes that more people should be talking about a forgotten pioneer of this style in AEW.
On the July 28, 2021 Fight For The Fallen episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho defeated Nick Gage in a No Rules match that featured pizza cutters, light tubes and glass.
On Tuesday, GCW star and JCW World Champion Jordan Oliver took to social media to shout out and praise Gage for setting the trend that led to this match and spot. He wrote:
Hey Fr, SHOUT OUT NICK FN GAGE!
He made deathmatch shit main stream fr! Personally I don’t think adam page and swerve would be drinking blood on Ppv if Nick gage never wrestled Chris Jericho!
MDK all fn day
Nick Gage is currently part of the Game Changer Wrestling roster, along with Jordan Oliver.
As previously reported, Swerve Strickland has showed off some of his war scars from the Texas Death Match with Hangman Adam Page on social media.
