There has been a potential spoiler on Dragon Lee’s replacement on tonight’ episode of WWE NXT following his recent Visa issues.
Yesterday, NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee took to Twitter, where he revealed that he was stuck in Mexico due to Visa issues.
Lee was set to team up with Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of the LWO to face three members of the No Quarter Catch Crew on tonight’s NXT New Year’s Evil show, which will no longer be the case.
Dragon Lee teased a ‘surprise’ replacement for the show, and we now have an update on the likely identity of that replacement.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Carlito is at today’s episode of NXT, and was around ringside preparing to compete on the show, and is currently planned to be the teammate of Cruz and Joaquin on the show.
While not officially announced, the three members representing the No Quarter Catch Crew will be Drew Gulak, Myles Borne and Damon Kemp, due to Charlie Dempsey being in Japan competing for All Japan Pro Wrestling tomorrow night.
Also set for the show is an NXT Championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams, as well as Blair Davenport challenging Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship.
The show will also feature the finals of the Men’s Breakout Tournament, with Oba Femi facing Riley Osbourne.
