Fans have shown concern after WWE NXT star Cora Jade potentially suffered an injury during Friday’s (January 12) NXT house show.
Jade headlined this week’s NXT live event in Dade City, challenging for Lyra Valkyra’s NXT Women’s Championship in singles action.
Cora Jade appeared to suffer a knee injury during the bout, with photos emerging following the match of ringside officials and doctors checking on Jade.
Per Wrestling Bodyslam, Jade was helped to the back by referees and WWE medical personnel.
At the moment, the legitimacy and severity of the injury are unknown.
However, seemingly confirming there is at least some level of concern, Cora Jade took to Twitter to share a GIF after the show, noting:
“I laugh to keep from crying”
Cora Jade only recently returned to NXT, making a surprise appearance following the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at the December 9 NXT Deadline 2023 event.
Her return came after a five month in-ring absence, with Jade going on a hiatus following her Kendo Stick match against Dana Brooke in July 2023.
Jade has wrestled a number of matches since her NXT Deadline return. Her most recent TV match saw her defeat Gigi Dolin during Tuesday’s (January 9) show.
We will provide more details on Cora Jade’s status as they become available.
We wish Cora Jade a safe and healthy recovery.
