AEW star Lee Moriarty has reflected on his journey following his match with WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland.
On the January 13 edition of AEW Collision, Lee Moriarty became the latest star to step up and answer Adam Copeland’s open challenge.
Despite losing to the former Edge, Moriarty put in an impressive effort for himself against the WWE Hall of Famer.
Reflecting on his loss to Copeland in a new AEW digital exclusive, Lee Moriarty reflected on his journey in the company. He said:
“Growing up in Pittsburgh, my parents raised me on a lot of morals. One thing I heard over, and over, and over again was, ‘Patience is a virtue.'”
“When I came to AEW, I learned that the more patient you are, the more complacent you become, and when you’re too complacent, you become forgotten.”
“You might not remember who I am, but I’ll remind you. I’m the guy that pushed Bryan Danielson. I’m the guy that pushed Katsuyori Shibata.”
“I’m the guy that pushed Keith Lee, and tonight busted shoulder or not. I’m the guy that pushed Adam Copeland.”
“Like Shane [Taylor] said, we are done being patient. We are done waiting for respect. We’re just gonna take it.”
Adam Copeland is now 2-0 in his open challenge series as he continues his quest to a rematch against TNT Champion Christian Cage after losing the title at AEW Worlds End.
