On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, a star appeared to potentially be injured as Wardlow began to noticeably limp after a move.
UPDATE – Wardlow has since tweeted: “A normal man’s knee would be ruined. I’m no normal man. I’m still coming for the heavyweight title. And there’s nothing and no one that can stop me. Knee is just fine 🐺 #AEWDynamite”
The Undisputed Kingdom including Adam Cole in a wheelchair came to the ring to accompany Wardlow for his match against Komander.
While the match was squarely in Wardlow’s favor, before he secured the victory it appeared he perhaps suffered an injury.
With his knee appearing to buckle during a powerbomb, the commentary team reiterated concern for Wardlow’s knee as he began limping thereafter.
Appearing to favor his knee throughout the finish of the match and afterward, he was out of the ring for the post-match angle.
When the Kingdom’s Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Roderick Strong were standing in the ring, they were met by Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on Wardlow’s condition as they emerge.
Cassidy and Strong are set to face off for the International Championship at the upcoming AEW pay-per-view, AEW Revolution.
