Absent star and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been advertised for his return on an upcoming WWE event.
In November 2023, Santos Escobar turned on Rey Mysterio and LWO in a brutal attack on an episode of SmackDown. Following the attack, fans learned that Mysterio suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee and would be out of action for “anywhere from six to eight weeks.”
With it being nearly three months since his injury, fans are now expecting the WWE Hall of Famer back at any time now.
On February 26, WWE announced their return to Mexico for a live event for July 13 in Mexico City and for July 14 in Monterrey.
In the announcement, the company announced that former United States Champion Rey Mysterio will appear on the tour.
It remains to be seen if Mysterio will wrestle or not during the two shows in Mexico at the time of this writing.
While Rey Mysterio is currently out of action due to injury, the legendary luchador recently made an appearance at a UFC show in Mexico.
