An update has emerged on the recent AEW Revolution pay-per-view, with another avenue of success surrounding this event revealed.
The March 3 AEW event was notable for several reasons, but will be fondly remembered by a lot of fans for its main event.
In the headline match, Sting wrestled for the final time, teaming with Darby Allin to defeat the Young Bucks and retain the AEW Tag Team Championship.
While many fans have argued that the entire show was one of AEW’s best to date, a new report has revealed that the show was also extremely successful with merchandise sales.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW shifted ‘ridiculously high numbers’ at the Revolution event, the most for any AEW show apart from All In London 2023 at Wembley Stadium.
Meltzer said:
“The merchandise at the show was the biggest for any AEW show in history except for Wembley.
“Like $22 a head, $21.84 a head, something like that. Ridiculously high numbers. Mostly Sting merchandise.”
