WWE star Zelina Vega has teased her involvement in the upcoming match for the vacant Women’s World Championship.
With Rhea Ripley set to be out of action for several months, the injured star announced on Monday’s (April 15) edition of Raw that she has been forced to relinquish the Women’s World Title.
While it was announced that a new champion will be crowned on next week’s show, no competitors have officially been announced for this title bout.
Zelina Vega has now hinted that she has her eyes on the WWE Women’s World Championship, retweeting WWE’s photo of the graphic announcing next week’s title match.
Vega captioned her post with one emoji:

Zelina Vega has never held a singles championship title but did win the Queen’s Crown tournament in 2021, and had a reign with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Carmella shortly after.
Vega notably challenged for Rhea Ripley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at Backlash 2023, ahead of the SmackDown Women’s Title being replaced by the Women’s World Championship.
While Vega is currently a member of the SmackDown roster and the Women’s World Championship is typically defended on Raw, both of these facts could change during the WWE Draft, which is set to take place at the end of the month.
Backstage details have emerged on the decision to stage the 2024 Draft on the announced dates, which you can read more about right here.
