Money in the Bank 2026 will take place on October 10, emanating from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
With two championship matches already announced for the show, and two briefcase holders to be determined, the landscape of WWE could change drastically following next week’s show.
Ahead of the premium live event, there has been some speculation about potential movement between Raw and SmackDown, with stars to potentially switch brands following the action.
From Money in the Bank winners to those unsuccessful in upcoming title matches, there are many stars we could soon see jump to a different brand.
Here are three WWE stars we could see make a move following Money in the Bank.
Rey Fenix
Rey Fenix has been visiting Raw so much recently that he’s starting to feel like part of the furniture on the red brand.
With all three of his World Heavyweight Title #1 Contender’s Tournament matches taking place on Monday nights, the SmackDown star is now set to defend his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Ethan Page on the October 5 show.
If Page wins the gold, we could see Fenix officially move to the red brand to team with Penta, with the duo yet to bring the Lucha Brothers to main roster TV.
With the duo recently teaming in AAA, Fenix and Penta teaming together on Raw feels inevitable at this point.
CM Punk
On the September 25 edition of SmackDown, CM Punk “defeated” Finn Balor and GUNTHER to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Having lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn on September 11, many fans would anticipate Punk chasing Zayn, if the Second City Saint was to be victorious on October 10.
With Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year at WrestleMania 42 however, it would also make sense for Punk to pursue a rematch against the OTC.
Punk’s exit from SmackDown would also give the Undisputed WWE Championship scene some breathing room, with there currently being numerous potential contenders for the gold.
Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan will face off on the October 5 Raw episode to determine Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE World Heavyweight Title challenger for Money in the Bank.
Out of these three stars, Lynch feels the most likely to switch brands, with Vaquer and Morgan both having many loose threads on Raw.
With Naomi rumored to be returning soon, it’d make sense to have the former Women’s World Champion challenge for the title she never lost, against the star who she didn’t ever get to defend against.
Meanwhile, it’d also make sense for Liv Morgan to remain on Raw to continue her storyline with Roxanne Perez, with tensions arising as the two teammates vie for the same title.
Becky Lynch could become a useful asset on SmackDown, bringing more starpower to the WWE Women’s Championship picture.
