Big Cass WWE plans after latest loss: How can the Raw star’s fortunes be turned around?

The September 28 episode of WWE Raw saw Big Cass rack up his second loss in three matches on the red brand since returning on August 3.

While his opponent Dragon Lee is someone deserving of a big win after suffering several key losses himself, Cass’ failure to put away the smaller star is yet another setback for someone who desperately needs some momentum right now.

Ultimately despite the first two months of this run being far from ideal, there is plenty of time for WWE to course correct and re-establish Cass as a force to be reckoned with in WWE.

Here are three potential plans for Big Cass after his latest WWE loss.

Destroy Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio on Raw

The most obvious course correction WWE can do with Big Cass is by having him simply wreck shop next week in response to this latest loss.

Dragon Lee should be the primary target, but by also attacking Lee’s mentor Rey Mysterio, Cass can get a greater amount of heat from the WWE fans and start up a rivalry with one of the all-time greats.

The list of victims may not end there either; Chad Gable, Rey Fenix and many others should fall under Cass’ giant feet as he reestablishes himself as a monster to be feared.

Start a new tag team

In targeting some of WWE Raw’s mid card babyfaces, Cass could also find himself gaining favor from some of the heel presences in the locker room.

For example, if Cass targeted Chad Gable then someone like Ethan Page would likely be very grateful; attack Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio would be overjoyed.

Throughout his career Cass has been best utilized in a tag team with a smaller star and WWE should potentially find him a brash heel to be paired with, rather than languish on his own.

Perhaps the perfect candidate is someone Cass knows very well: Ricky Saints on SmackDown. Saints and Cass held the AEW World Tag Team Title together in late 2023/early 2024, and it proved to be a mutually beneficial partnership. With both men struggling somewhat in WWE, the company should reunite them and boost their tag division in the process.

Reunite with Enzo Amore

While a reunion with Ricky Saints would be a popular one, it wouldn’t hold a candle to the reaction if Cass came back together with Enzo Amore.

Enzo and Cass were one of WWE’s most popular double acts of the 2010s across NXT and main roster, but their run together was also far too short lived.

After just a year by each other’s side, WWE made the decision to split the pair up and turn Cass heel. By the following year they were both gone from the company.

With Cass now re-signed with WWE and Enzo available to be signed (if he hasn’t already), this one truly is a no brainer.
