10 Biggest WWE Missed Opportunities Of 2018

6. Bayley and Sasha Banks

What a mess of a year these two had. When it was rumored that they were set to have a match at WrestleMania 34, I actually got excited at the prospect of another Bayley/Sasha Banks feud.

You’ve most likely heard it by now, Sasha and Bayley had an excellent feud down in NXT. This program could’ve reheated both superstars who were in somewhat of a cold patch, thanks to their booking.

However, the match never happened at the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’, and what we got was months of booking between women who’ve been bickering like high school girls. Both wrestlers became unlikable throughout the story and each weekly segment became channel-changing bad. And then Bayley “turned” on Sasha Banks.

This moment actually breathed life in the never-ending saga between the pair. I don’t know how Bayley would’ve done as a heel, but I was hopeful that she’d be a huge surprise like Sami Zayn turned out to be.

Granted, this wouldn’t have been the solution to Banks’ problem. She’s a terrible babyface, but at least we would’ve gotten an interesting dynamic. Instead, we got more terrible booking and the return of Dr. Shelby that went nowhere.

This is without a doubt one of the worst feuds of the year and it’s a shame that the talented Bayley and Banks continue to flounder on the main roster thanks to WWE Creative.
