6. Seth Rollins v Shinsuke Nakamura
Has Seth Rollins put in a bad match this year? Based on Rollins’ participation alone, it is a safe bet that this is going to be an entertaining match.
Then you add Nakamura to the mix. He’s another man capable of exciting, fast-paced technical matches and of telling great stories in the ring. Nakamura is also the wild card in this match. We’ve hardly seen him at all since he won the United States Championship, and we could get anything from a stellar 5-star match out of him, to a quick kick in the junk (so fashionable right now).
There’s also the possibility that this match has nothing to do with Nakamura at all, and is going to be used as a vehicle to continue the Seth Rollins / Dean Ambrose feud. Given Nakamura’s character, he would have no issue with taking a dirty win off of Ambrose’s interference. Likely, he’d take the win, smile, and slink away with his title while Dean goes to town on Rollins yet again.
One way or the other, there are going to be fireworks. I’d personally prefer to see what these two guys could come up with to put on a show-stealing performance, but wrestling isn’t wrestling without shenanigans, and I like those too.
