7. Johnny Gargano v Aleister Black
Ever since the babyface tag team DIY exploded at the end of NXT Takeover: Chicago in 2017, NXT has been telling a slow-burning story. Until recently, we had all been led to believe that the story would end when babyface Johnny Wrestling finally took his proper revenge on Tommaso Ciampa.
Instead, we are being treated to a babyface’s slow fall from grace. The final turn to the heel side was when Gargano secretly ambushed and incapacitated Aleister Black to take him out of a triple threat match for Ciampa’s NXT Championship.
Black is back for revenge against a newly-turned-heel Gargano. How can you not want to see that play out?
