8. Traditional Survivor Series Matches
The traditional Survivor Series 5 on 5 elimination tag matches are the gimmick that this show is built around. If they’re set up properly, those elimination matches are actually pretty exciting.
The best example of that goes back to Survivor Series 2014, where Dolph Ziggler somehow eliminated three members of Team Authority to be named the sole survivor. It was an exciting, edge of your seat moment and a highlight of Ziggler’s career.
Yes, I’ll admit that the teams this year are underwhelming. The tag team elimination match is doing a particularly spectacular job of showing off how thin the divisions on both Raw and SmackDown really are. Still, there’s always undeniable magic in these matches, so we’ll have to wait and see how it shakes out.
