WWE star Sheamus has commented on his trilogy of matches with GUNTHER, noting that he doesn’t plan to wrestle the Ring General ever again.
Sheamus battled GUNTHER in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament during this week’s (May 6) edition of Raw.
GUNTHER was ultimately victorious, forcing Sheamus to tap out to end their third televised singles match.
This comes after the former Intercontinental Champion’s previous victories over Sheamus at Clash at the Castle 2022, and on an October 2022 edition of SmackDown.
Sheamus has now taken to Twitter to react to a post calling Sheamus and GUNTHER’s rivalry the greatest trilogy of Triple H’s era of WWE.
Noting that he’s done fighting GUNTHER, Sheamus wrote:
There ain’t gonna be no quadrilogy so 3-0 is the final tally. I am done. Some will argue he tapped, he used a weapon, he had outside interference.. ok!
Give him bragging rights, I fought fair & with honour. Those who cheat to win are only fooling themselves & the dim witted.
GUNTHER is now lined up to battle the winner of Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston’s first round match in the leg of the King of the Ring quarterfinals.
The finals of the King of the Ring tournament will take place at the May 25 King & Queen of the Ring event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Sheamus recently shared a photo of his brutal wounds following his Raw match against GUNTHER, which you can view right here.
