5. Cedric Alexander
A former 205 Live superstar, Cedric was given the call to the main roster following WrestleMania. Alexander has since been thrown in the 24/7 mix championship with management seemingly clueless with regards to his direction. For comedy characters, it might be okay but the waste of his raw athleticism and immeasurable talent is a travesty.
Much like his counterparts who moved from 205 Live to Raw or Smackdown, he is someone who you genuinely root for just by his display of heart inside and around the ring.
He constantly puts his body on the line in every opportunity he gets, no matter the match or the opponent. His matches with the likes of Buddy Murphy, Ali and Drew Gulak have turned crowds from staring at their phones to chanting “This is awesome”.
Cedric needs a place to truly show his skills weekly instead of chasing around a joke title. Another change of brands might seem like a flurry of switches, but he could really find his groove in NXT. With more time for matches and better storytelling than normal, NXT can be the brand that finally showcases Alexander as the true superstar he is.
