WWE Clash In Italy 2026 looks like a stacked card for this historic event, but the company could still inject some extra excitement by providing some surprises throughout the night.

Looking at the WWE roster, there are several absent stars who might make their return in the near future.

From injured talent to legendary names coming off of hiatus, Clash In Italy 2026 could feature some notable stars making their comeback on the latest premium live event.

Here are six potential returns at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

6. Stephanie Vaquer

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Then on the April 27 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Judgment Day jumped and injured Vaquer, taking her out of action indefinitely.

Recently, reports have circulated that “La Primera” had recovered quickly from her AC sprain injury.

Vaquer coming back at WWE Clash In Italy 2026 could see her immediately stake her claim for another shot at regaining the title she lost at Mania.

5. Sheamus

In November 2025, Sheamus suffered a serious shoulder injury that required surgery that has sidelined him for months.

“The Celtic Warrior” is someone who has been recognized as one of the most consistent in-ring performers in the company today.

After months on the shelf, Sheamus could make his return in time for the WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

Whether it be helping another babyface from an attack or potentially stepping up to challenge the winner of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar, Sheamus might come back to a more prominent spot at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.

4. AJ Lee

At the WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One premium live event, Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Since this loss, Lee has not appeared on WWE television in the weeks after Mania.

This led to Lee posting a farewell address on her social media that seemed like a goodbye for now.

With Lynch set to defend her title against Sol Ruca at WWE Clash In Italy 2026, this feels like the right setting for Lee to come back and help the young star win her first gold on the main roster.

3. Bronson Reed

The Vision has been going through some hard times over the past few months with a series of injuries.

At the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Logan Paul became the latest Vision member to suffer a serious injury.

Now with Austin Theory and Bron Breakker as the only active members of the stable, it might be time for another member to come back into the fold.

WWE Clash In Italy 2026 could see Bronson Reed return from a torn bicep injury to help bolster the ranks of The Vision moving forward.

2. Randy Orton

Another WWE star who suffered a big time loss at WrestleMania 42 was Randy Orton.

Coming up short in his bid to win his 15th world title against Cody Rhodes, “The Legend Killer” has taken some time off from WWE TV.

Orton returning could open the door to some possibilities and new storyline directions on Friday Night SmackDown.

Considering Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against GUNTHER at Clash In Italy 2026, Orton could make his return to either cost his rival the title or challenge the winner of this high profile title clash.

1. CM Punk

In the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

On the April 20 WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42, Punk stated that he would remain ready coming off this loss.

However, “The Best In The World” has not appeared on WWE programming in the weeks since “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

The headliner for WWE Clash In Italy 2026 will see Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Title against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat Match, so this might be the best opportunity for Punk to make his return and challenge the winner.
