Pay Homage To The Tournament’s Legacy
I swear that every time WWE has a Royal Rumble coming up they trot out the same stats over and over again. Most of us could probably recite them from memory. Fastest elimination. Most wins. Please don’t ask about 2004.
King of the Ring doesn’t have quite the same prestige, but it’s still a somewhat historic pay-per-view with some impressive winners.
WWE should do its best in the run up to the tournament to impose upon viewers what exactly that legacy is, and why it matters.
You could even have a few former winners turn up for segments talking up the history of the tournament.
Hell, you could even have a couple of them compete. Not just more recent winners Seamus and Corbin, but how about Brock and Edge? Hell, maybe Wade Barrett could come out of retirement for a quick match or two?
