TNA Wrestling Impact on AMC with AJ Styles and The Rascalz

This week could prove to be the most important in the history of TNA Wrestling with the company premiering on AMC Network with their January 15 episode of Thursday Night Impact.

With the company moving to a bigger network, there should be some adjustments to the promotion in several different ways.

From the way the show looks to who will appear on the program, TNA on AMC should bring the company to a new level that they have not achieved over the past several years.

Here are seven potential changes to TNA Wrestling on AMC.

7. Production & Presentation

Over the past few years, TNA has undergone several different changes from how the company is presented.

The promotion went from Impact Wrestling to TNA Wrestling at the start of 2024 and with the company’s move to AMC, their weekly show is now known as Thursday Night Impact.

One thing that needs to be improved is the production of the show, which should be greatly helped by being broadcast on a bigger network like AMC.

The entire presentation should shift to a cleaner, more modern feel overall that will allow the company to seem more prominent as a result.

6. Network Crossovers

TNA Wrestling moving to AMC Network should see some crossover stars from the channel coming to the company.

The promotion is already teasing such a crossover with the second episode of Thursday Night Impact heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Whether it be references to shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul or stars from those shows appearing in the crowd, it will be interesting to see how AMC Network crosses over to TNA Wrestling.

There could be unique ways to bring eyes to the on-screen product with TNA Wrestling trying to raise their profile on a new broadcast home.

5. Stars Departing

One of the biggest news of the week has been numerous stars on the TNA roster leaving the promotion.

It was revealed on the January 7 edition of AEW Dynamite that former TNA star Jake Something, known as Jake Doyle, had signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Then, recent reports indicated that Killer Kelly and The Rascalz were leaving the company with their contracts expiring.

With The Rascalz now confirmed to be AEW bound, there might be even more stars departing the company in the weeks and months to come despite a few names who have re-signed in the past few days.

4. New Stars Arrive

TNA Wrestling has not just lost talent this week as they have announced several stars on the roster have re-signed.

With the likes of Mustafa Ali, Jody Threat and Hometown Man re-signing as well as reports of Steve Maclin and Cedric Alexander signing deals, the company has restored some top names to the roster before their AMC debut.

However, there is also new talent that will make their way to the promotion in the coming weeks to bring some renewed energy to who fans are seeing weekly.

From BDE officially signing to new names like potentially Chris Jericho or Priscilla Kelly coming in, the new stars arriving in TNA Wrestling will be interesting to watch and be part of the viewing experience for the new era of Thursday Night Impact.

3. More WWE Integration

At the beginning of 2025, WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership between the two promotions after establishing a working relationship in the year prior.

With the likes of Leon Slater and Mike Santana appearing on NXT, the WWE audience have seen TNA talent a great deal in the past 12 months.

However, WWE NXT stars have been firmly solidified as part of the weekly TNA Thursday Night Impact crop of talent with the likes of Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Arianna Grace involved in recent major storylines.

Now that TNA Wrestling is on AMC, there should be even more WWE integration that allows for their fans to “cross the line” and watch the product on their new network home.

2. AJ Styles Returns, But Will He Wrestle?

Ahead of TNA Wrestling’s AMC premiere, the company announced some major returning stars coming back for this huge night.

Among the most notable announcements had to have been that the Thursday Night Impact AMC debut will feature the return of AJ Styles.

After coming back to the promotion for the first time in more than a decade at TNA Slammiversary, “The Phenomenal One” created a signature moment in 2025 by endorsing Leon Slater.

AJ Styles returning to TNA should provide another memorable moment on the Thursday Night Impact AMC premiere by seeing him interact with some of the current talent on the roster.

1. Mike Santana Becomes New TNA World Champion

In the main event of the TNA Thursday Night Impact AMC debut, Frankie Kazarian will defend the TNA World Title against Mike Santana.

Considering the fan reaction to Santana losing the gold last year, this should be TNA’s opportunity to make good on that.

Allowing Santana to regain the gold will give the company a signature moment to close the show and give the top babyface a coronation that will thrust him into the spotlight as the face of the brand.

Santana as TNA World Champion might just be the perfect person to build the company around now that they are on AMC Network.
