AEW
All Elite Wrestling has several different factions with stars sometimes needing to join these groups, but also others who might need to leave.
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship. Post match, Kyle Fletcher turned on Takeshita to excommunicate him from the Don Callis Family.
Following in the footsteps of Takeshita, there could be more names on the AEW roster who can step up and break free from these stables.
Here are six AEW stars to potentially leave factions.
6. Thekla
Since signing with All Elite Wrestling in May 2025, Thekla has been one of the fastest rising stars in the company today.
Racing past several other talents in the promotion, “The Toxic Spider” has showcased her unique and eccentric personality as a star who stands out from the pack.
Thekla joined forces with Julia Hart and Skye Blue of the Sisters of Sin to become Triangle of Madness, but it feels like the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion has what it takes to stand on her own.
Splitting from Triangle of Madness, Thekla could garner much more of the spotlight without Blue and Hart in her corner.
5. Lee Moriarty
Shane Taylor Promotions have been one of the most featured acts on AEW television as of late.
Through a feud with The Death Riders, STP has been able to shine with their different characters and the kind of aggression they bring to the company.
Looking at the current members of STP, Lee Moriarty feels like someone who can stand out on his own without his stablemates.
Now the longest reigning ROH Pure Champion, Moriarty might feel the need to break out as a singles star without Shane Taylor Promotions before long.
4. Billie Starkz
Athena has reigned as the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion for well over 1,280 days.
Surrounding herself with talented individuals, Athena has recruited Billie Starkz and Diamante to form MIT: Minions In Training.
Starkz has been unable to ever defeat Athena after multiple attempts at the ROH Women’s World Championship.
Knowing that she may need to separate herself from “The Fallen Goddess” to finally reach her true potential, Starkz has to split from Athena and MIT sooner rather than later.
3. PAC
There might not be a tighter unit in All Elite Wrestling right now than The Death Riders.
Led by Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta and PAC have been the most prominent stable in AEW.
“The Bastard” still remains one of the most versatile and talented stars on the AEW roster and someone who could easily be a contender for the world title.
After being paired with The Death Riders for the past two years, PAC may decide that it is time to stand on his own and leave Moxley’s group before long.
2. Andrade El Idolo
To start 2026, Andrade El Idolo re-signed with All Elite Wrestling and joined the Don Callis Family.
Since then, El Idolo has had his sights set on the AEW World Championship, wanting to get his opportunity at the top prize in the company.
Andrade has seemingly been passed by in the hierarchy of the Don Callis Family by the newest member of the group, TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight.
While he has gotten Don Callis’ word that he will get his shot, Andrade might have to wise up and leave the Family to finally challenge for the AEW World Championship.
1. Gabe Kidd
At NJPW Dominion 2026, Gabe Kidd made his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling by attacking Shota Umino to issue a challenge for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
After suffering a severe shoulder injury at AEW Dynasty 2026, Kidd will be looking to reestablish himself as a threat to everyone in NJPW or All Elite Wrestling.
When he made his return at Dominion 2026, Kidd did so as a member of The Death Riders instead of The Dogs.
Despite opening the door for Clark Connors and David Finlay to arrive in AEW, Kidd could be leaving The Dogs to either stand on his own or reunite with The Death Riders moving forward.
