Charlotte Flair has named an aspect of her WWE WrestleMania 41 rivalry with Tiffany Stratton which was not planned and just by chance.

Flair and Stratton had the world talking in April 2025, following reports that several personal lines from their promo segment on the April 4 SmackDown episode were off-script.

This naturally fuelled intrigue surrounding this storyline, which culminated with Stratton defeating Flair to retain her WWE Women’s Championship at the Show of Shows.

In an interview with Ring The Belle, it was pointed out that for several segments during the WrestleMania 41 build, Flair and Stratton’s outfits matched, either in style or colour.

Confirming that this was purely coincidental, Charlotte Flair stated:

“That was not planned. That famous Chicago promo where we both wore black, that was not planned. I was not backstage going ‘Hey sister, what are you wearing?’ That was all just by chance.

“Unless someone was spying in my locker room, seeing what I was wearing. No, it was really just by chance.

“But I don’t know if that made it better that people thought there was a purpose to it, but there wasn’t.”
