SmackDown Women’s Title – “I Quit” Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
This is a match already on the Evolution card, as well it should be because the rivalry between the two former friends has been a highlight of the blue brand.
The only change I would make is to the stipulation. The bout is currently set as a Last Woman Standing match (no, it is not the first in WWE history), which is a sure-fire way to ensure a hot feud plays out on front of a cold crowd.
The stipulation does not lend itself well to high drama. Everybody watching knows it will not end early and the long drawn out attempted ten counts deeper into the bout significantly slow down the pace, making it feel laborious rather than epic.
“I Quit”, on the other hand, achieves the same goal without the slowdown, plus it fits better with the feud. Both women feel they are right. To back down and quit would be the ultimate embarrassment.
If Charlotte wins then she gets to put Becky in her place, if the champ wins then she can finally demand that Charlotte call her queen. It seems so simple.
