LA Knight WWE plans after Money in the Bank 2026: Will a loss to Roman Reigns be as damaging for ‘The Megastar’ as we fear?

After years of stop-start pushes and failed opportunities, LA Knight will headline this Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank 2026 premium live event when he challenges Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Given how many times fans have seen “The Megastar” try and fail to become world champion for the first time, it really does feel like another loss could be potentially catastrophic for the chances of Knight ever ascending to the mountaintop in WWE.

Very few WWE stars would still have the popularity and momentum that Knight has after so many setbacks, so it certainly is a testament to his talents that the fans are still so desperate for him to walk out as World Heavyweight Champion this Saturday.

At any other time, against any other champion, Knight would likely be fancied, however, with Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi seeming inevitable for WrestleMania 43 – and WWE likely not wanting to diminish Femi’s big win in any way by having Reigns lose en route to WrestleMania – it feels like Knight will miss out on his crowning moment again.

So, in the event that happens, how will LA Knight bounce back? Here are three potential directions for him after Money in the Bank:

Turns on Solo Sikoa, aligns with the 946 for WWE Survivor Series WarGames

After Money in the Bank has come and gone, WWE will be looking ahead to Crown Jewel on November 7, and then Survivor Series on November 28. WarGames is expected to once again be the focal point of the latter, and it’s seeming likely that the ongoing conflict between The Bloodline and 946 will take center stage in the men’s match.

However, at this point in time, The Bloodline is slightly ahead of 946 in terms of numbers with Roman Reigns, The Usos, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa making up what could be a five man squad for WarGames.

946 may have just added Jaida Parker to their ranks, but unless WWE plans on doing a first every mixed gender WarGames match, Royce Keys will likely need to find two more names in the men’s locker room to team with.

While it would be better if 946 found two new permanent members for their group that make sense, we could see a temporary allegiance formed for one night only in Houston.

LA Knight is likely going to be more motivated than any other to get some revenge on The Bloodline, not only due to his loss to Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank, but also because Solo Sikoa now appears to be back involved with his family.

This is clearly a decision motivated by the 946, rather than Solo wanting to fall in line and “acknowledge” Roman Reigns, but that’s not necessarily how LA Knight will take it.

Frustrated after yet another failed attempt to become world champion, Knight could take out his frustration on Solo Sikoa and help 946 take down The Bloodline at Survivor Series.

WWE Royal Rumble 2027 winner

One of the most straight forward ways WWE could have Knight rebound from his Money in the Bank loss is by giving him another massive win at a major PLE.

A WWE Royal Rumble win would not only give Knight a major accolade to his name, but grant him yet another shot at a world championship, and you would think that, this time WWE would give “The Megastar” his moment.

While Roman Reigns will likely be preoccupied with Oba Femi, Knight could use his Royal Rumble win to target the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 43.

Admittedly the Rumble feels like Oba’s to lose, and having Knight change brands to avoid Reigns would make him look a little weak, but hopefully WWE could give an explanation the avoids this.
