WWE star to join 946 faction: Who will be Royce Keys’ next recruit?

Almost a month has passed since Royce Keys and OTM destroyed The Usos, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in a stunning conclusion to the August 24 episode of Raw.

In the weeks that have followed, the group – known as 946 – have left more destruction in their wake; attacking The Usos in a parking lot, setting alight their car and sending warnings of more violence to follow.

Right now, the group feels perfect as a trio, but it has been reported that WWE may add more names to 946 later down the line.

With that possibility in mind, it’s time to look at three WWE stars who could potentially join Royce Keys’ new faction in the future:

Jacob Fatu

The name most often linked to joining 946 is the same person currently on the group’s hit list: Jacob Fatu.

‘The Samoan Werewolf’ was partly responsible for sending Royce Keys on the warpath when he sidelined his former friend on the August 3 episode of Raw.

946 have yet to get their hands on Fatu, with Jacob missing from both attacks on The Usos thus far. While this is likely something WWE have done on purpose to build hype towards Fatu and Keys’ eventual brawl, it could also be looked at as convenient.

Fatu may have been purposely left out of 946’s attacks because he’s actually a secret member of the group, and looking to bring down The Bloodline from the inside. While this would be a cool twist – and Fatu does seem like a better fit for 946 than The Bloodline in all honesty – it wouldn’t make a ton of sense given how badly Fatu battered Keys during the aforementioned August 3 episode of Raw. But hey, it’s wrestling; it doesn’t always have to make sense for it to work.

Saquon Shugars

After making a name for himself in independent promotions such as DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling, Saquon Shugars arrived in WWE in late 2023 and received his big break in the company as a member of the Darkstate faction in NXT.

While the faction is still active, Shugars was shockingly removed from the group in May, which led to the 26-year-old breaking out on his own as a babyface.

Shugars seems more than comfortable on his own and the future is certainly looking bright for him in WWE NXT. While spending another year or so at the Performance Center certainly won’t hurt him, he’s also more main roster ready than many of his peers on the roster and could slot into a more prominent role on Raw alongside the 946.

He’s not from Northern California like Royce Keys and Bronco Nima, but neither is Lucien Price, so that can’t be considered a deal breaker for joining the group.

Zilla Fatu

Another potential recruit from outside of Northern California is WWE’s newest Bloodline family member: Zilla Fatu.

The Houston, Texas native has made a major splash in WWE in a short amount of time, and appears set to build upon the buzz he built outside the company in a major way.

While he’s only just got started in NXT, fans are already eyeing up where Zilla may slot in with Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline.

Or at least that would be the expectation, there’s always another option: Zilla joining 946 instead. Rather than falling in line, Zilla could look to make a name for himself by helping topple his own family alongside his group of disruptors; a major statement from a future superstar.
