12 BIGGEST WWE Tweets Of The Week! Feb. 8, 2018

6. Rusev Day SELLS OUT!

Occasionally WWE inadvertently hits on something that unexpectedly gets over when it was not really designed to (Fandango’ing, Daniel Bryan’s “Yes”, The Cesaro Section) and, oftentimes, does not act on it.

Not so with the new global phenomenon that is Rusev Day, as Sean Ross Sapp from fightful.com reports:

These brilliant calendars are a piece of marketing genius from WWE. As seen below, EVERY DAY IS RUSEV DAY.

But then, you already knew that.

Were you one of the lucky 5000 who bought one? I am not ashamed to admit that I was! When it finally arrives (gah) it will rightfully take pride of place on the wall in the center of my living room, adjacent to my Rusev Day Tree and the Rusev Day Stockings above my fireplace . . .

5. Tyler Bate: Time To Fix Up, Look Sharp

The Dudley-born sensation had the biggest and best moment of his career in 2017, becoming the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion in front of an adoring crowd in Blackpool on January 15.

That was the high point of his year. Bate dropped the strap to Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Chicago in WWE’s best match of 2017, then fell from prominence, with Dunne clearly the new British “chosen one”.

Bate summed up his recent troubles with this short but telling tweet:

According to reports, Tyler lost the title in the first place because he turned down a last-minute WWE booking in favor of a holiday abroad – which he had already booked months earlier. In WWE, that sort of thing is enough to derail one’s career for a long time.

Hopefully the talented Brit can get back into the good books and get his WWE career back on track. He is one of the most talented members of the roster and, as a regular, would be an asset to any of the promotion’s brands.
