8. Jinder Mahal Taunts THE GRONK!
They say revenge is a dish best served cold. Evidently Jinder Mahal agrees, based on this post about New England Patriot’s player Rob ‘The Gronk’ Gronkowski:
Shouldn't of Hindered… pic.twitter.com/VIWZpMiNyB
— The Maharaja (@JinderMahal) February 5, 2018
Gronk, who famously got involved in WrestleMania’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal, helping Mojo Rawley to victory over our Jinder, had a horrible weekend.
Not only did his team lose the SuperBowl (for the benefit of non-Americans, that’s the American Football (padded-up version of Rugby . . .) equivalent of WrestleMania) but poor Gronk had his $1 million home robbed during the game, with his gun collection stolen.
Mahal’s tweet might be cruel, but it is also pretty hilarious. Let’s just hope Gronk – who is considering retirement from football – does not decide to swap the gridiron for the wrestling ring, or else Jinder could be in trouble.
7. Cody Rhodes Talks Vince McMahon Holding Back Talent
The Bullet Club supremo got all riled up during a recent Twitter Q&A, responding to a question about whether Vince McMahon unfairly holds back talent called up from NXT. Of his former boss he said:
He doesn't hold anybody back. A lot of times it's hard for fans to accept that some of their favorites have a ways to go or that they become lazy after they get that first LE check. Stardust for example didn't go beyond tag gold cuz' I wasn't improving & I also got outta' shape. https://t.co/PJstDITaMp

Fair comment? Perhaps. Though it is also clear that Vince McMahon only pushes talent at the level he sees them at, regardless of fan sentiment. That works both ways too – he is as guilty of over-pushing acts that nobody wants to see as he is not pushing those that fans are behind.
Upon receiving this response . . .
I think it's a great example of @CodyRhodes taking accountability for himself and his career trajectory which I commend him for. That said, it's a political answer and not exactly grounded in reality. To say Vince doesn't hold people back is just flat out false. https://t.co/YuwbGSjpkp

. . . Cody lost his rag:
Ouch. Finding the whole thing hilarious, Cody’s former Legacy stablemate Randy Orton chimed in:
DAMN (Ron’s Simmons voice)
Can’t wait to have you back one day codeman. Legacy reboot? Ha I kid I kid https://t.co/Ya07a3fO3g— Randy Orton (@RandyOrton) February 6, 2018
Legacy reboot, huh? As appealing as I’m sure being Randy’s number two sounds, Cody is in a plum spot in the most successful faction in wrestling. Frankly, there’s more chance of Orton joining Bullet Club . . .
