WrestleMania 37 Plans, Undertaker Return, More – Your Questions Answered

In today’s Q&A here on the site, we discuss WWE‘s plans for WrestleMania, a potential Undertaker return, and more of your questions!

@jefferis_john – Do you think there will be any surprise appearances at WrestleMania this year? And if so, who do you think will show up?

Liam Winnard (Website Manager):

With it being the first show back in front of fans you have to think there’ll be some kind of return. Having said that, WWE is getting more and more into the habit of announcing things ahead of time to try and attract attention, so it’s hard to tell. John Cena’s ruled himself out, but anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation pal. Brock Lesnar could show up, Undertaker could do a little something since it’s his first WrestleMania since apparently retiring and last year’s had no fans. If I had to guess one name specifically, I’d say there’s a good shot of Undertaker showing up. Kane being inducted into the Hall of Fame makes it a near certainty actually.

Sanchez Taylor (News Writer):

I think we could be in store for a couple of surprises. It seems like it would be fairly easy for an NXT star to get to Raymond James Stadium, so I think we could see an NXT talent possibly make their WrestleMania debut. As WWE wants to make both nights unforgettable, I think we almost definitely will be seeing a return to pop the live crowd.

@Walu2go – Will we see The Undertaker involved in a non-wrestling capacity at WrestleMania?

Liam:

As I alluded to in the previous question, I do think that’s pretty likely. Although the actual ceremony won’t be live, the Hall of Fame inductees will still probably be coming onto the stage to get the big cheer. With Kane being one of them, Undertaker won’t be far away at all.

Sanchez:

I’m not sure. I think now that he’s retired, he’ll get to enjoy this year’s WrestleMania from Gorilla position. He has earned WrestleMania off in my opinion.

Which WrestleMania match is not on the card yet, but needs to be on this year?

Liam:

Looking at the card already, I can’t say there’s any particular match I’m clamoring to see get added. You can point to the three championships that aren’t on the card yet – Riddle’s US Title, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode’s SmackDown Tag Title, and Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler’s Women’s Tag Title. WWE doesn’t really have any other hot programs going with anyone that isn’t already on the card. So apart from those potential title matches, I don’t think anything needs adding to be honest.

Sanchez:

I think the current WrestleMania card is shaping up quite nicely. I would like to see Matt Riddle defend his US Championship against a talented challenger for a great work-rate match. Riddle vs Ricochet would be amazing. I predict that Riddle will actually defend his title against Sheamus at WrestleMania, however.

Where is Mojo Rawley?

Liam:

Who knows? He’s another guy like Bo Dallas that, for whatever reason, hasn’t been released, but hasn’t sniffed a TV appearance for months. Rawley’s actually a really good heel but he’s just never quite seemed to get going for some reason. It would be great to see him back at some point soon but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Sanchez:

I’d love to see him form a tag team again, I think he’s more suited to the tag division than the singles. That’s if WWE ever lets him out of that cupboard.

@Blackou52377599 – What do you think Vince McMahon’s plan heading into WrestleMania for Roman Reigns vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan will be?

Liam:

This is actually a pretty hard one to call. If for whatever reason they want to get the title off Roman Reigns, they can do it here without beating him. It’s been reported that management might not be too high on Edge right now because of his visible ageing. Daniel Bryan’s career seems to be coming closer and closer to an end and he’s even said this could be his last WrestleMania. Right now, I’d pick a Bryan win, but honestly I’ve got no earthly idea. And that’s a good thing.

Sanchez:

It seems like WWE are losing their faith in Edge as a week-to-week talent, which is disheartening. I couldn’t originally pick a winner between Edge vs Roman Reigns, but I think the addition of Daniel Bryan will create enough chaos for Reigns to sneak a victory. I think WrestleMania would be the perfect time for Jimmy Uso to return, so naturally WWE will bring him back on the go-home SmackDown.

@lfclewis96 – What do you look for in a website writer? Age limit? Past experience? Qualifications?

Liam:

It really depends what role you’re going to have. Hypothetically, if we were looking for full-time news writers, which is the main part of this job really, experience would be a big advantage to anyone who has it. Qualifications likewise, but not the be-all and end-all. There’s a lot more to this than just writing about wrestling. There are commonly things like lawsuits, allegations, and other sensitive issues that we need to know how to cover responsibly and correctly. The age thing just comes naturally with the experience. I only turned 20 last month, so that says something. Even without much experience and qualifications, as long as you’re willing to learn, there’s no reason you couldn’t do a good job. But those things we mentioned are definitely advantageous. Ultimately, decisions personnel-wise and hiring-wise usually come down to Andy who is our Chief Editor. But as his Website Manager, that’s my take on it.
