More WWE Main Roster Stars To Appear For AAA

Since WWE announced its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in April 2025, numerous Raw and SmackDown names have appeared for the Mexican brand.

While a number of Performance Center and NXT talents have made AAA their home, the likes of Rey Fenix, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano from the WWE main roster have also become mainstays in Arena CDMX.

From potential title challengers to those with history on the brand, there are a number of current WWE stars who could soon show up on AAA TV.

Here are five stars to potentially appear for AAA.

Ricky Saints

While Ricky Saints has yet to wrestle for AAA, he is set to compete for one of the brand’s singles championships.

Saints will challenge for Rey Fenix’ AAA World Cruiserweight Championship during the September 11 SmackDown episode in Mexico City.

Regardless of result, this could result in Saints appearing on AAA TV for a run with the international brand.

A run with AAA may be good for Ricky Saints, allowing him to showcase his in-ring ability to a new audience while he establishes himself on SmackDown.

Logan Paul

A Logan Paul AAA run would make sense for a number of reasons, firstly with his history with the Mysterios.

Paul and The Miz defeated Rey & Dominik Mysterio during his pro-wrestling debut at WrestleMania 38, ahead of Paul winning the WWE US Championship from Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023.

In addition to his in-ring rivalry with the AAA GM, and previously praising AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio’s work, Logan Paul has highlighted a lot of luchadores in recent weeks.

With Paul calling a recent Dragon Lee spot one of the most “mechanically impressive” moves he’s ever seen, it seems that he’d be an eager learner if he was to visit Mexico to learn the ways of lucha libre once he’s cleared to compete.

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has competed in AAA twice, but not since WWE’s acquisition of the Mexico-based promotion.

Rhodes first wrestled for AAA at the July 2019 Conquista Total Gira show, teaming with MJF in a losing effort against Daga and Taurus.

A month later, Cody teamed with Psycho Clown and Cain Velasquez to defeat Killer Kross, El Texano Jr and Taurus.

With Cody Rhodes since going on to become a WWE megastar and appearing on shows all over the globe, it would be fun to see him pay a visit to this current iteration of AAA.

Sami Zayn

With CM Punk teasing bringing back his Straight Edge Society mask for WWE AAA Worlds Collide later this month, there has been some speculation about Sami Zayn pulling a similar move.

With Sami Zayn’s history with El Generico (the duo being best buddies, of course), it would be a full-circle moment to see Zayn put on the mask for a show in Mexico.

With Punk and Zayn set to face off in SmackDown in Mexico City, it’s possible that this rivalry continues, and spills over to AAA, with Punk’s upcoming crossover show appearance.

While “Sami Zayn” has yet to wrestle in AAA, “El Generico” wrestled for the promotion once in April 2010.

Chad Gable

Technically speaking, Chad Gable has had a prominent role on AAA TV, wrestling as the Original El Grande Americano and unmasking in May following his loss to Ludwig Kaiser’s El Grande Americano.

He has yet to wrestle for AAA in Mexico as “Chad Gable”, with his only unmasked appearance for the brand taking place at the 2025 Worlds Collide crossover event in Los Angeles.

With Mexican fans showing respect to Chad Gable following his unmasking, the Intercontinental Champion would likely receive a hero’s welcome if he was to return to the brand as himself.

Chad Gable previously stated that he intends to return to AAA, so we’ll have to wait and see as to when this moment happens.
