WWE Money In The Bank 2026: Competitors that may be screwed out of winning the briefcase

WWE Money In The Bank 2026 is almost upon us, and this year’s line up is shaping up to be a fairly unpredictable one.

While almost all the confirmed names so far have a chance of winning the match, some have equally as high of a chance of being screwed out of the guaranteed title shot during the show itself.

Here are some WWE stars that could be screwed out of this year’s Money In The Bank.

Oba Femi screws Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker and Oba Femi have continued to butt heads on Raw in recent weeks over who is truly the future of WWE.

With their match going to a no contest at Sunday Night’s Main Event thanks to the return of Bronson Reed, Breakker is now set to be part of the Money In The Bank Ladder match, and is a major favourite to win the whole thing.

If Breakker doesn’t end up winning, it will likely be due to some outside interference from the Ruler, looking to get even.

Randy Orton screws Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has not yet been confirmed for this year’s Money In The Bank Ladder match, but whether he gets in or not, he has to be looking over his shoulder.

Randy Orton had previously vowed to never let Cody become WWE Champion again as he attempts to drag a darker side out of the American Nightmare.

Whether it be during his qualifier on SmackDown this week or in the match itself, Cody’s chances at taking home the briefcase are likely to end only one way, with an RKO.

Sami Zayn screws CM Punk

While Cody Rhodes may not find himself in the Ladder match, CM Punk will after he qualified last week on SmackDown.

Punk is one of many names currently circling Sami Zayn and the Undisputed WWE Championship, and is arguably the one that Zayn is least excited to defend his title against given their prior interactions and encounters on television.

Punk is almost certainly not the man that will end up taking home the Money In The Bank briefcase in New Orleans, and he needs to be sure to look over his shoulder for Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens or any of the other seemingly endless names chasing the title right now.
