AEW All Out 2026: Will the Young Bucks’ AEW Tag Team Championship victory be the final of their career?

After winning their fourth AEW World Tag Team Championship at All Out, will this be the final title run of the Young Bucks’ career?

Being two of the founding members of All Elite Wrestling, the Young Bucks’ legacy among the greatest tag teams of all time has only grown stronger over the past few years.

However, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently discussed the future of Matt and Nick Jackson, with him noting that he believes that this could be the Bucks’ final contract in wrestling before their retirement.

As such, the Bucks have made references to how their time may be running out, and that being what drives them to capture the titles, on AEW television in recent weeks heading into tonight’s AEW All Out event.

On the show, the Bucks were to be part of a Ladder three-way match with Cope & Cage and FTR for the titles, with the match being exactly as chaotic as it looked on paper.

In the end, Matt and Nick did pick up the win, becoming record breaking four-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Cope & Cage retained the titles against the Bucks at AEW All In: London after winning the gold from FTR at Double or Nothing.

The Young Bucks retiring in 2027?

With Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson noting that the Bucks’ contracts are set to expire in 2027, and the previous note from Meltzer about the Bucks potentially winding things down, with him also saying Matt Jackson specifically had already considered retirement, we may be set to witness the final title run in the career of the Young Bucks.

AEW has become almost inarguably the home of tag team wrestling over the past few months, with the recent arrivals of the New Level and the Motor City Machine Guns being added to a stacked division already consisting of the Bucks, Cope & Cage, FTR, Brodido, the Death Riders and many other top teams.

With the incredibly strong line up of teams in the division, it would almost make for a perfect send off should this actually be the final run of the Bucks’ careers, including finally witnessing the dream match between them and the New Level that fans have wanted to see for years.
