AEW All Out 2026: Match ends in referee stoppage after Steven Borden injury scare

UPDATE: Tony Schiavone announced during the show that Steven Borden had been taken to a hospital, with him now being conscious and in good spirits following the scare

A match at tonight’s AEW All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago ended due to referee stoppage following an injury scare.

On tonight’s show, Steven Borden was set to make his AEW pay-per-view debut, when he teamed with Darby Allin to face off against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight in an AEW World Tag Team Championship number one contender’s match.

The match took place second on tonight’s show, and it unfortunately did not go to a finish.

Steven Borden injury scare at AEW All Out

During the match, both Borden and Knight jumped from the top rope, with them colliding with each other in mid air, leading to both men taking a bump onto the mat.

The referees would then check on Borden, before deeming him unfit to finish the match, ending the match with a referee stoppage victory for Knight and Fletcher.
