Final WWE Money In The Bank 2026 qualifier revealed: who will claim the last spot?

On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, the major final two WWE Money in the Bank 2026 qualifying matches was announced and they are major.

After two more stars qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match to bring the field to five men and five women already confirmed for the match — the last two qualifying matches were announced.

One spot remains

With CM Punk was moving on to the Money in the Bank ladder match after beating GUNTHER and Finn Balor for the opportunity, an intriguing final qualifier also was revealed.

On the men’s side it will be Kevin Owens taking on Cody Rhodes and Johnny Gargano to see how claims the sixth and final spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

On tonight’s edition of SmackDown, Sami Zayn would reveal in a backstage segment that while SmackDown GM Nick Aldis wouldn’t grant Gargano a WWE World title shot, he did negotiate a deal to get both he and Candice LeRae into the final qualifying matches for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Later it was revealed that the bout would be against both KO and Cody Rhodes, a duo highly motivated to get into the titular ladder match.

Women’s Money in the Bank could be NXT affair

Already winning their way into the bout, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and finally Lash Legend.

After a hard fought match on tonight’s SmackDown to get into the match, Legend captured victory over Charlotte Flair and Guilia to claim her spot in the ladder match.

An interesting detail about the current field for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match are the number of relative newcomers to the main roster.

With the final women’s qualifying match set to feature Tatum Paxley, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae, the deck seems stacked in favorite of a former top talent from the NXT women’s division taking home the briefcase.

Who will win WWE Money in the Bank 2026?

With the already stacked men’s match field featuring Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, PENTA, Trick Williams and now CM Punk — the potential addition of Kevin Owens or Cody Rhodes could certainly shift expectations.

Since fans seem to be abuzz that PENTA is the most likely winner on the men’s side, there could be a surprise coming in New Orleans for the October 10 event.

Given the release of the film adaptation of Street Fighter on October 16 featuring Cody Rhodes starring as beloved video game character Guile, don’t count out Cody.

For the women’s side, early bets place Roxanne Perez as the most likely winner, a detail that could prove interesting should Liv Morgan recapture the WWE Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer.
