Kevin’s Thoughts: With Money in the Bank less than 24 hours away, most of the lines have stayed consistent with what we’ve seen over the last 4 weeks. However, we do have some gems to analyze.

One of the more interesting trends from the last update is AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, which I’ve tracked extensively, has finally gone the other direction. AJ Styles opened as the favorite, went in reverse for weeks, but just now finally has some good news and is even money to win tomorrow. Shinsuke still carries a slight favorite at -120 (56% implied odds) but this is finally some good news for Styles.

The biggest news from the last 36 days of coverage has hands down been Asuka and Carmella. The line has been anything but kind to Asuka. I believe the rumor that James Ellsworth could be returning has impacted these odds quite a bit. Ellsworth returning gives Carmella a path to a non-DQ victory that can protect Asuka. For those curious on how the line has moved, Asuka opened as a -450 favorite, sunk to -250, then -200, then -175, and now landing at Even while Carmella closes at -120.

The final update concerns the Men’s Money in the Bank match. The Miz has been a favorite since the beginning and now all of his competition is going the other direction. The Miz is as high as he’s ever been at -120 while Braun has fallen dramatically from as high as +200 all the way down to +400 now. For the first time since the lines opened, Braun Strowman is not in the #2 spot. That spot is now currently owned by Samoa Joe, listed as +350. If there is a last minute change tomorrow, expect it to be for Samoa Joe, not Braun Strowman.
