WWE Tag Team Main Roster Call-Up

With both the WWE Raw and SmackDown tag team divisions in need of a shot in the arm, we could see some new tandems called up from NXT and AAA.

OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) made an immediate impact on Raw in their debut two weeks ago as a part of a new trio alongside Royce Keys, but there’s certainly room for more new teams to emerge on both the red and blue brands.

Here are three potential WWE tag team main roster call-ups coming soon.

Hank And Tank

Hank and Tank are one of NXT’s longest tenured tag teams at this point, and after already enjoying a run with the brand’s tag titles over a year ago, one can’t help but question what their long-term future is in WWE.

Typically talent will reach the top and then move on from NXT, but Hank And Tank have remained around on Tuesday nights.

After being away from televised in-ring action since June, WWE could be preparing to send ‘The Belly Boys’ to Raw or SmackDown given the dearth of tag teams on main roster.

While their characters seem better suited to NXT in their current state, they’re a fun team to watch and should be given a chance at success away from the PC.

DarkState

With the rivalry between Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars seemingly over, it’s time for something new for DarkState.

Having already held the NXT Tag Team Titles twice, it may be time for Osiris Griffin and Cutler James to the Raw or SmackDown tag ranks, while Dion Lennox joins a mid-card title scene.

Much like Fatal Influence have done in the women’s division, DarkState could look to establish dominance on all fronts as a trio. While they arguably need more time to gain experience in NXT, there’s also potential for them to make an impact on SmackDown, which is lacking in a faction on the male side of the roster.

Raw has The Bloodline, The Vision, Judgment Day and Royce Keys and OTM’s 946 group, leaving a huge opportunity for DarkState to make a mark on Friday nights and potentially even recruit a new member or two.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno

Real-life brothers El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno stand out on the AAA roster given their combination of size and agility.

Having already impressed on WWE NXT in June when they challenged The Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Titles, it’d be nice to see the main roster crowd also get shown what the pair can do.

Fans have gotten a chance to see Wagner Jr. on both Raw and SmackDown in 2026 as a singles act, but there are no true luchador tag teams on WWE TV at present; leaving a spot open for Wagner Jr. and Galeno.

Even if they remain in AAA full-time, a brief run in a tag team title tournament for example would give fans a glimpse of their abilities and set them up for more opportunities down the line.
