‘I’m Not Mad At Him’ – Another WWE Name Reacts To Adam Copeland (Edge) Joining AEW AEW

Booker T has reacted to Adam Copeland leaving WWE and making his debut appearance in October 2023 at AEW WrestleDream.

In the post-WWE Fastlane press conference, Triple H discussed Copeland’s departure, wishing him the best and reiterating that there is no animosity on either side.

Booker T has now reacted to the move on his Hall of Fame podcast, saying:

“Personally, I’m not mad at him because I understand how this business is… You want to finish it the way you do, and being able to finish it with Christian (Cage)… I was reading somewhere that it was his dream to be able to finish his career with Christian, the way he started it. I get it, man.

“At the end of the day, it isn’t the money – the money is great, it’s all great. But you can’t take it with you. The stories, camaraderie, friendships, the memories… man that stuff is priceless.

“Everything over there at AEW, everything that Edge is doing with Christian, I’m going to be the last one to hate.”

The WWE NXT commentator would also reveal that he wishes he could have finished his in-ring career with Stevie Ray.

It’s because of this that Booker T said he understood Copeland’s decision for a “final run” with Christian with the pair having been long-term friends and integral to each other’s wrestling careers.

Copeland’s reunion with Christian Cage has seen impressive numbers on YouTube since it was posted on October 5.

Kurt Angle also commented on Copeland’s move to AEW, calling it a “good thing” as “there are a lot of guys he hasn’t faced” there.
