AEW Commentary References DX Reunion On WWE Raw

Although it was subtle, AEW commentary has responded to a quip from commentary on WWE Raw during the DX 25th anniversary reunion.

As Daddy Ass Billy Gunn (now officially listed as such on his entrance graphic) may have been missing from Monday’s reunion of Degeneration X on WWE Raw, but he was honored in a way.

While during his mic time, Brian “Road Dogg” James allowed space for the fans to fill in Billy Gunn’s name, commentary made a subtle reference.

With Corey Graves from WWE saying that he heard “that other guy is doing something with office equipment nowadays.”

Now a response on commentary for AEW Dynamite as Daddy Ass Billy Gunn takes on Swerve Strickland.

While the elder Gunn took his time in removing his shirt, Taz mused that he needed to show off his physique and then added an amusing quip.

Taz saying, “If you were moving that much office furniture, you’d have that physique too,” getting a chuckle from Excalibur who clearly also picked up on the reference.

In the end, it was Swerve Strickland who picked up the win after a sneaky move of holding onto the ropes.
