AEW
An AEW name has confirmed their departure from the company in a new interview.
It’s been quite some time since fans have seen Jake “The Snake” Roberts on AEW programming, with his last role being his stint as the manager of LFI (Los Faccion Ingobernable) in late 2024.
While no official announcement has been made by AEW, Jake Roberts has now confirmed that he’s no longer under contract with Tony Khan’s company.
Speaking with Bill Apter, Roberts was asked what working for Khan is like, which led to the WWE Hall of Famer announcing that he’s no longer All Elite.
Despite that, Roberts had nothing but nice things to say about Khan and his experience working in AEW, saying:
“Love it. Love it. I just finished up working for him, I’m no longer employed by AEW.
“He (Tony Khan) is awesome, he really is. A breath of fresh air.”

Jake “The Snake” Roberts began his AEW tenure in a high profile program with Cody Rhodes on the March 4, 2020 episode of Dynamite.
This led to Roberts cornering Lance Archer – of whom he would be associated with for several years.
Archer’s association with Roberts came to an end in late 2024, when the “Murderhawk Monster” was traded to Don Callis in exchange for LFI.
Archer remains a part of The Don Callis Family to this day, while LFI’s association with Roberts was short-lived.
Similarly to Billy Gunn, Roberts was under AEW contract whilst also having a legends deal with WWE for merchandising. This has allowed both to appear in WWE video games, despite being on AEW programming.

A Busy Summer Of New Arrivals Ahead For AEW?
With the inaugural AEW Redemption pay-per-view heading to Montreal, Quebec on July 26, and the return of All In London one month later on August 30, the company could be gearing up for some exciting new additions to their roster around these events.
In late April/early May, over two dozen superstars departed WWE, either due to their contracts expiring or being released, with names such as The New Day, Wyatt Sicks, Kairi Sane and Aleister Black among those departing.
With the 90-day non-compete clauses of those released soon set to expire, there has naturally been a lot of speculation regarding AEW potentially snapping up some of the soon-to-be free agents.
Unlike the likes of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Aleister Black however, Sheamus is someone who is free and available to join AEW right now should both parties be interested in striking up a deal.
The four-time world champion departed the company yesterday (July 5), with it being reported that WWE attempted to restructure his contract while he was out injured, something Sheamus turned down.
