Big Championship Match Announced For AEW Dynamite Fifth Anniversary

The fifth anniversary AEW Dynamite on October 2, 2024, will have a major championship match featuring Bryan Danielson.

Already announced for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite is Serena Deeb vs. Britt Baker and Hangman Page vs. Juice Robinson and Will Ospreay vs Ricochet for the International Championship.

Tony Khan has previously revealed the reason for putting the Ospreay vs. Ricochet match on television instead of at an AEW PPV.

With Khan noting that AEW has “an unlimited supply of huge matches”, another has been announced for tomorrow night’s Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite’s five-year anniversary show will see Bryan Danielson take on Kazuchika Okada.

The match will see both the AEW World Championship and Continental Championship on the line.

The stipulation for the match, however, will only see Okada’s title at stake for the first 20 minutes of the match.

As for Danielson’s championship, that will be on the line for the full sixty minutes of the match, just over a week before he is scheduled to defend his title against Jon Moxley at WrestleDream on October 12.
