MJF & Adam Cole Continue Being Besties On AEW Dynamite AEW

Adam Cole and MJF continued to foster their budding friendship on tonight’s AEW Dynamite and it turned into victory!

On tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite (July 12) Adam Cole continued building his friendship with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, MJF.

Seen in a vignette from ‘last week’, MJF hung out at the bar with Adam Cole taking shots, met some new pals before heading back to Cole’s to play some video games.

While MJF was at first opposed to playing AEW Fight Forever, once he realized he was in the game with great stats, he was more open to trying out the ‘nerd’ hobby and seemed to be having fun by the end of the match.

With Adam Cole revealing that he had originally planned to just pretend to befriend MJF, he was actually starting to grow fond of him.

MJF for his part also revealed that he was planning on turning on Cole but disturbingly, didn’t vow that he no longer wished to… interesting.

However the newfound friendship seemed to place Cole at odds with two of his biggest supporters in life: best friend Roderick Strong and partner Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

While Baker wasn’t shown on screen, she was “on the phone” with Cole after the vignette of his weekend hang with MJF which seemed to include at least MJF spending some quality with four new female friends he met at the bar.

Strong was shown, appearing in a backstage segment but without significant comment on the developments, rather Cole sort of blew off Roddy to read texts aloud from MJF during the scene.

The unity was strong as the duo had a hilarious dual entrance with MJF showing a lot of enthusiasm for Cole’s theme music as well as a post-match promo that was full of catchphrases and even a well placed ‘Better than you BayBay’ merch mention.

The budding friendship is set to continue as MJF and Adam Cole won their ‘Blind’ Tag Team Tournament match against Brian Cage and Big Bill to advance to the finals of the tournament.

MJF and Adam Cole will face off against Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara in the finals of the AEW ‘Blind’ Tag Team Tournament on AEW Dynamite on July 19.
