AEW Faction Seemingly Disbands On Dynamite

AEW Faction Seemingly Disbands On Dynamite AEW

An AEW faction has seemingly disbanded on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite (August 9) in the opening segment of the show.

After Daddy Magic Matt Menard told Chris Jericho on last week’s show that there would be a mandatory Jericho Appreciation Society meeting on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, the show began with the faction minus Jericho already in the ring.

As the stablemates went around one by one, each addressed Jericho and went on to quit for different reasons.

This included a particularly passionate speech from the aforementioned Daddy Magic who name dropped a top WWE star when mentioning that he finally understands why other guys he came up with like Eddie Kingston and ‘Kevin Steen’ (aka Kevin Owens) can’t stand him.

The last member standing was Sammy Guevara who eventually also left Jericho through the crowd.

All of the members of the former Jericho Appreciation Society were cheered separately (including Tay Melo who got cheers for mentioning giving birth) so may still find themselves sticking together in the absence of Jericho, but that remains to be seen – for what it’s worth, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker still accompanied Anna Jay to the ring for her match tonight.

In a backstage segment, Jericho said he had made his decision regarding whether or not he wanted to join the Don Callis Family and would be making the big announcement on next week’s Dynamite.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, more matches were revealed for the upcoming major pay-per-view AEW All In .
