Potential Plans For Kyle Fletcher After AEW All In: London 2026 Teased

Kyle Fletcher has a mountain to climb at AEW All In: London as the International Champion, but he has already teased what may follow after Wembley Stadium.

August 30 see Kyle Fletcher defend the AEW International Championship against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada at All In: London.

While Fletcher may have his focus on the AEW International Championship, he would reiterate a potential quest for the top title during an appearance on The Sportster, saying:

“It’s a very difficult question for me to answer right this second because I’m doing my very best to focus on the task (defending) the International title and this threat at All In.

“But, obviously, I keep up with what everybody’s got going on. I keep my finger on the pulse of the wrestling world. I like to know what’s happening.

“Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega is a gigantic match. The main event of Wembley Stadium for the World title. We’re going to see who the very best is.

“That World Title is something that I’ve been very clear that I want, and I think that pro-wrestling is all about timing; everything is about being right place, right time.

“I’m focusing on the match at All In; I’m focusing on the triple threat. 

“If we reassess after that point, and the timing feels right, then plans will be put in place.”

With his “finger on the pulse”, Fletcher would also address the possibility of facing Ilja Dragunov once again after the star’s departure from WWE.

Two Paths, One Goal

Should Kyle Fletcher emerge as a challenger for the AEW World Championship after All In: London, it has the potential to set him on two very different paths to the same goal, depending on the outcome of Ospreay vs. Omega.

For Ospreay and Omega, they are familiar with each other, having competed a number of times over the past eleven years, with their rivalry seeing the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship change hands and then back again at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and Forbidden Door in 2023.

Their rivalry has recently seen a war of words between both stars, something that they’re no strangers to, yet this intensity is seemingly born of each seeing themselves as the top star in AEW. A recent interview, conducted by Renee Paquette, saw an incensed Ospreay take issue with the much more reserved Omega.

Whoever comes out of AEW All In: London as World Champion, this match will likely leave its mark on their reign.

When it comes to Fletcher, however, his intensity is as unquestionable as his rivalry with Will Ospreay, which saw the Australian star shave his own head in order to distance himself from the Aerial Assassin. Arguably, it was that moment that redefined Fletcher, with his evolution since then being a testament to his status.

Fletcher is also familiar with Omega in an AEW ring, although they’ve only had one singles match to date, with The Cleaner victorious back on the October 18, 2023 episode of Dynamite.

Whatever direction of the AEW World Championship after Sunday, it would be a surprising decision to keep Fletcher out of the picture for too long.
