Popular AEW Star Sets Impressive Record Following Dynamite Victory AEW

A popular AEW star has set an impressive recording following their latest victory on the January 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.

As noted by The Sportster, Orange Cassidy’s defeat of Jay Lethal means that the All-Atlantic Champion “has already successfully defended the championship more than anyone has defended a men’s singles title in one reign in all of AEW’s history.”

Since beating PAC for the title on AEW Dynamite in October 2022, Orange Cassidy has defended the championship ten times in three months.

Before this, the most championship defenses was held by Darby Allin during his first reign as TNT Championship.

Allin would defend the TNT Championship nine times before losing it to Miro.

The AEW wrestler who holds the most title defenses in the company however is Jade Cargill who, at the time of writing, has successfully defended the TBS Championship a grand total of 17 times.

Cargill remains undefeated in her AEW career.

With 99 days (at the time of writing) as AEW’s second All-Atlantic Champion, Cassidy doesn’t have long to wait before he passes inaugural champion PAC’s 108-day reign from 12 June 2022 to 12 October 2022.
