Both companies may have had shows that went head to head, but that doesn’t mean that AEW and WWE are actually going to war says one AEW name.
Fans have long discussed the “war” that they perceive going on between two of the titans of the wrestling business, stoked by comments made by those on both sides.
Wheeler Yuta doesn’t see this how some others have chosen to, however.
Speaking on the MackMania podcast, he explained:
“I can’t speak for everyone else, but for me, absolutely not [at war with WWE.] We’re not trying to take everyone out, have a big war, we’re trying to put on the best AEW wrestling show that we can put on, and I think that in doing so, we’ve created this alternative.”
Yuta went on to say:
“We’ve created just like a whole different vibe, a whole different feel to our show. The more places there are for people to wrestle, the better it is for wrestling.”
Yuta joined AEW in 2021, originally joining the Best Friends before becoming a member of Blackpool Combat Club, having gained their respect on the August 8, 2022 episode of AEW Rampage.
He recently discussed becoming more comfortable on the microphone.
