A top AEW star has heaped praised on Jon Moxley for being a leader and ‘leading by example’ in the locker room.
Jon Moxley has been named as one of the leaders in the AEW locker room in recent years in light of the AEW All Out media scrum and the following incidents backstage.
Moxley captured the AEW International Championship from Orange Cassidy at All Out last year, before dropping it to Rey Fenix at Grand Slam.
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Cassidy heaped praise on his former rival, saying that he is a leader, and leads by example.
He said:
“Jon Moxley is a leader for AEW and I think a lot of people look to Jon Moxley for leadership. I am too, like Jon Moxley, a person that leads by example and I saw the example that he was setting and I was like, ‘You know, I want to do that.’ I try. I try, but no one can be Jon Moxley because there is no (other) Jon Moxley.
“I am forever in his debt for him changing and bringing out this version of me that is clearly a better version because I still have [AEW International Title].”
