An AEW star has expressed gratitude for a number of big matches that in his words, he ‘never thought possible’ and for good reasons!
AEW star Lee Moriarty took to Twitter to share thoughts on his gratitude for his career accomplishments thus far, namely three huge matches.
Moriarty wrote:
“‘21 faced Punk, who was at one point completely gone from wrestling
“‘22 faced Danielson who was retired from wrestling
“‘23 I’ll face Shibata who also was retired from wrestling.
“3 matches I never thought possible made possible cause of work ethic, trust and some luck.”
In the comments, a couple AEW stars popped round to remind Lee of some other milestone moments as well, with Danhausen writing:
“‘20 faced the legend known as Dan Housen in a football field after eating a slice of cold pizza together”
With Ethan Page also adding a major match to the list:
“Don’t forget that time you fought the Hardy Boyz on a lawn”
Lee Moriarty’s bout against Shibata may have been filmed on Wednesday, May 31 but it will air on Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage on June 2.
