AEW Star Out With Long-Term Injury Update

AEW Star Out With Long-Term Injury Update AEW

A long absent AEW star has seemingly returned to training in a new update posted to social media, providing fans hope for a potential in-ring return.

Kyle O’Reilly has been off of AEW TV since August 2022, last competing on the June 8 edition of AEW Dynamite.

The former WWE star underwent major neck fusion surgery in September 2022, however, has yet to be seen back ever since.

According to O’Reilly in an update last month, he unfortunately felt with rare post-surgical complications that had some severe affects, namely a case of C5 Palsy, which resulted in a severe loss of strength and mobility in his right arm.

Thankfully however, O’Reilly seems to be past that, with a return to the ring still the goal.

While not a guarantee of any return timeline, a new post from O’Reilly to his Instagram story (see below) suggests that the goal may be inching slightly closer.

O’Reilly posted a picture of his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gear, suggesting that he may have now been cleared to return to physical training drills of some description.

Again, there is no confirmation of this, however, it is enough reason to be hopeful for a potential return to the ring at some point in the future.

We continue to extend our well wishes to O’Reilly in his continued recovery.
