AEW star and former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs believes his recent bout with Miro was “the best big man match in company history.”
At AEW All Out 2023, Miro defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in a heavyweight slugfest that received a raucous reaction from the Chicago crowd.
Fans in attendance at the United Center expressed their appreciation for this match by chanting “meat” and “meat forever,” among other meat-based chants at both wrestlers.
In a new interview with Adrian Hernandez, Powerhouse Hobbs was asked about his memorable showdown with Miro. He replied:
“It was awesome,”
“The match went unbelievable. And to be told to keep going and going and having that energy from the fans.”
“And, you know, the fans will make you. You know, they tell you what they want, and they wanted more of it, and I believe that was the best big-man match in the history of this company so far.”
Miro last wrestled in a win over Andrade El Idolo at AEW Worlds End. For the full results from the show, click here.
